Local artist Yahaira Maduro brings ‘Curason Contento’ collection to life.
ORANJESTAD, ARUBA – May 2025 – Caribbean Town Aruba has unveiled its latest artistic collaboration with renowned local artist Yahaira Maduro, bringing vibrant mosaic art installations to the luxury residential development’s four signature buildings.
The partnership, which originated during community information sessions at Cosecha San Nicolas and Oranjestad in October 2021, fulfills Caribbean Town’s vision of seamlessly integrating Aruban artistic expression throughout the property’s stunning architecture.
A Canvas of 35m² Proportions?
Visitors and residents of Caribbean Town Aruba will soon experience Maduro’s captivating artwork transformed into spectacular mosaic installations wrapping the façades of the development’s four Caribbean-themed buildings: Turks & Caicos, Guadeloupe, St. Lucia, and Barbados. The most impressive installations will span up to 35m², creating landmark visual attractions that celebrate Aruban creativity.
“Our goal has always been to create more than just luxury residences, we’re building a community that honors Aruba’s rich artistic heritage,” explains Caribbean Town Aruba’s development team. “These mosaic installations will serve as daily inspiration for residents while introducing visitors to the island’s vibrant creative culture.”
‘Curason Contento’ Brings Joy Through Art
Maduro, widely recognized for her vibrant color palette and uplifting themes, dedicated April 2025 to creating twelve heart-themed canvases for her “Curason Contento” [Happy Heart] Pop Art collection. The centerpiece of the installation is her large-scale abstract work titled “Bida ta Dushi” [Life is Sweet], which encapsulates the joy and vitality that Caribbean Town Aruba aims to foster within its community.
The artist collaborated with fellow Aruban creative Ryan Leliendal to complete this ambitious project, demonstrating the collaborative spirit central to Aruba’s artistic community. On May 6, 2025, Maduro delivered her completed works to Caribbean Town Aruba, marking a significant milestone in the development’s artistic journey.
World-Class Materials Meet Aruban Creativity
To ensure these artistic treasures withstand Aruba’s tropical climate, Caribbean Town partnered with Spain’s prestigious Iberia Tiles. The company employs a sophisticated process to reproduce Maduro’s artwork on mosaic tiles made from patented nanopolymer material known for its fire resistance and exceptional durability.
This collaboration between international craftsmanship and local artistic vision ensures residents will enjoy these beautiful installations for generations to come.
Art as Community Investment
Caribbean Town Aruba’s investment in public art reflects the development’s holistic approach to luxury living. Beyond creating beautiful spaces, the project aims to inspire younger generations by demonstrating how art enriches daily life and creates meaningful connections within communities.
“When children see their island’s artists celebrated on such a grand scale, it opens their eyes to creative possibilities,” notes the development team. “We’re not just building homes; we’re nurturing the next generation of Aruban artists.”
